About Us
We provide a welcoming experience for prospective transfer students in their quest to become a Trojan! It is our mission to support prospective and continuing transfer students with pre/post-admission strategies and work to ensure a seamless transition to Virginia State University.
Applicants who have attended a regionally accredited college or university are considered for admission to all sessions. Applicants must have a cumulative average of “C” (2.0 on a 4.0 scale) or above and be in good standing at the previous institutions. Courses eligible for transfer must be college-level courses (100-level or higher) with a minimum grade of "C".
A transfer applicant with fewer than 30 semester hours must submit an official final high school transcript as well as a full SAT or ACT score report along with the college transcript.

Scholarships and Grants
Founder’s Scholarship
- This award is available to incoming transfer students who have completed an Associate of Arts (A.A.), Associate of Science (A.S.), or Associate of Arts and Sciences degree with a 3.0 or better GPA.
- This $6,500 award is renewable for one (1) additional year if the recipient maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.0, passes 30 credit hours during the school year, participates in the University Honors program, and maintains a residence on campus. Incoming students are automatically reviewed for this scholarship during the admission process.
Virginia Community College System Two-Year Transfer Grant Program
