Office of Community Outreach and Engagement

The Office of Community Outreach fosters active participation in service, and volunteerism as an integral part of student development outside of the classroom. Through community service, students gain real-world experience and practice important skills like leadership, problem-solving, and time-management. Volunteering offers students the opportunity to apply their classroom learning to practical scenarios that have real implications.

In addition to volunteerism, the Office of Campus and Community Outreach connects students to information, resources and Food Pantry and other supportive services to assist with food insecurities and other hardships:

  • Alternative Winter/Spring Break
  • Chesterfield County Foodbank Partners
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service
  • Monthly community service projects
