Are you ready for Trojan Nation?

Congratulations on your admission to Virginia State University! Orientation plans have been made, and we look forward to you participating in one of our orientation sessions. At Virginia State University, we call our Orientation T.I.P. which stands for Trojan Introduction Program.

TIP is your formal introduction to Virginia State University. Our TIP sessions are designed to acclimate you to campus life, complete university business, understand financial commitments, and most importantly build community amongst peers and professionals.

TIP/Orientation is required for all first time students. Family members and supporters are welcomed to attend, but no more than two per student.

The first step in the orientation process will be ensuring you have paid your enrollment fee. If you have not paid your enrollment fee, please visit our Enrollment Deposit page to start the process. After submitting your enrollment deposit, you will eligible to complete a housing application, register for an orientation session, and complete course registration.

For Summer 2024, we have a total of six different Orientation options. We also have an overnight option where students will be permitted to stay on campus. However, families will be expected to secure lodging of campus. The cost to attend a one day session is $25, while the overnight session is $75 per registered student.
