Violence Prevention Coordinator
The Violence Prevention Coordinator is located in the University Counseling Center and serves as the University’s specialist on primary crime/violence prevention to educate the campus community. The goal of the Violence Prevention Program is to replace adversarial and violent modes of resolving conflict with nonviolent, collaborative processes and techniques on the campus of Virginia State University. Students are also provided assistance with criminal justice services without judgment in accordance with Title IX and the Student Handbook.
The Violence Prevention Coordinator serves as Chair of the University’s Violence Prevention Team, which is charged with education, awareness and training of the campus community as it pertains to deterrence of crime. Virginia State University is committed to providing a safe campus environment.
