Intellectual Property (Copyright, Trademark and Patent)

Virginia State University Policy 1410 establishes policies concerning Intellectual Property (Copyright and Patent) that may be created by members of the University community. Section 23.1-1303 of the Code of Virginia provides that all employees, including student employees, of Virginia State University, as a condition of employment, shall be bound by the provisions of this policy. This policy generally defines and establishes the respective rights and obligations of University faculty, students, and staff regarding copyrightable works made by them.
