Campus Locksmith Office

The Locksmith is responsible for issuing keys to designated University personnel in line with the University Key Control Policy, with the authority to do so delegated by the Chief of Police. Any unauthorized creation, distribution, or possession of keys for state buildings or facilities constitutes a breach of State law (Section 18.2-503) and University regulations. Prior to any locksmith services being rendered, a Locksmith Request Form must be completed, including the necessary budget code and I.O. numbers. Once filled out, this form should be faxed to the Chief of Police's office at extension 5629, after which it will be forwarded to the Locksmith for the required services.
