About Our Department

The Virginia State University Police Department is here to serve you. Our goal is to support educational opportunities for our students by emphasizing service as a priority, conducting crime prevention as a specialty and performing law enforcement activities as a reality.

We espouse a community-oriented policing philosophy and contributes to the quality of life for surrounding neighborhoods. We provide a full range of law enforcement services and endeavor to maintain the highest standards of our profession. Our officers are proficient in state-of-the-art patrol techniques and efficient in crime prevention strategies.
