Board of Visitors Meeting Notice for September 14-15, 2023

The Virginia State University (VSU) Board of Visitors will meet Thursday-Friday, September 14-15, 2023, in the Gateway Dining and Events Center located on the campus at 2804 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.

Board committees will meet all day Thursday as indicated below. These public sessions, while open to
constituent attendance, are exempt from livestream as they do not qualify as full board meetings. No Board actions will be taken, and there will not be an opportunity for public comment.

Thursday, September 14th

  • 9:00 a.m. - Academic and Student Affairs Committee
  • 12:00 p.m. - Audit and Compliance Committee
  • 1:30 p.m. - Institutional Advancement Committee
  • 2:45 p.m. - Executive Committee
  • 3:15 p.m. - Facilities and Finance Committee

On Thursday evening, the Board will also hold its Annual Recognition Dinner in the Gateway Dining and Events Center with a reception at 5:00 p.m. and dinner at 6:00 p.m. On Friday at 10:00 a.m., the Board will attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the M.T. Carter Annex Building.

On Friday, September 15th , the Full Board will convene at the Gateway Dining and Events Center for a meeting, which will be available via livestream. There will not be an opportunity for public comment at the meeting.

2023 Board of Visitors Full Board Meeting." If viewers experience a technical interruption, they may

and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, VSU will provide a sign language interpreter during
