Board of Visitors Meeting Retreat Notice for August 2-4, 2023

The Virginia State University Board of Visitors will hold its annual retreat on August 3-4, 2023 at the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel located at 3001 Atlantic Avenue, Virginia Beach, VA 23451.

During the retreat, the Board will provide orientation for new board members. While open to constituent attendance, these public sessions are exempted from livestream as they do not qualify as full board meetings. No Board actions will be taken, and there will not be an opportunity for public comment.

On Wednesday, August 2nd, the Board will hold a welcome reception in the Courtney Terrace Room from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

On Thursday, August 3rd, the Board will convene at 9:00 a.m. in the Peacock Ballroom Salon C with sessions ending for the day at approximately 2:30 p.m. At 4:00 p.m., the Board will have dinner at the Signet Center located at 884 Bells Mill Road, Chesapeake, VA.

On Friday, August 4th, sessions will resume at 9:00 a.m. in the Peacock Ballroom Salon C to include a working lunch, and are scheduled to conclude at 3:00 p.m. All start and end times for meeting are approximate, and the Board reserves the right to adjust its schedule, as necessary.
