Move-in Schedule Adjustments
Greetings Trojans,
We are excited to welcome you back for the spring 2022 semester, however impending weather conditions have caused us to adjust the weekend move-in schedule for residential students.
The current forecast indicates a significant winter storm with snow starting in Virginia Saturday evening and an all-day snow event Sunday. Accumulating snow of more than 6 inches will cause dangerous travel conditions Sunday. Those with travel plans are encouraged to monitor forecasts for their entire route and exercise sound judgment before starting their trip. Travel on Sunday is not advised.
To ensure the safety of our Trojans, University officials have made the decision to cancel Move-in for Sunday January 16, 2022. No one will be permitted to check into the Residence Halls on Sunday January 16, 2022.
To accommodate this safety measure, students will have two options:
- Move into Residence Hall on Friday 1/14/22 or Saturday 1/15/22 between the hours of 8 am to 5:30 pm; or
- Delay your return until January 18, 2022 or after. VSU is closed on Monday, January 17 for the King Holiday.
On-campus COVID entry testing and move in will resume as scheduled on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. Please contact VSU Police Department at 804-524-5360 if you have questions or need additional information.
