Medical Services After 5:00 PM

If an urgent health need occurs after 5:00 p.m. or on weekends, students may consider utilizing the following community health care resources:

Medical transportation services (taxicab services) are available through a local transportation company for students without transportation. A taxi cab voucher can be provided to you by the Student Health Center, Campus Police or your Residence Hall staff. The transportation service is only for medically-related conditions. for urgent medical care needs only. The voucher you receive must be completed and given to the driver. The cost will be billed to the student’s account. No money is required from the student at the time of service. Your copy of the voucher must be returned to the Student Health Center on the ground floor of Memorial Hall within 24 hours of your completed trip.

For emergency medical care, please contact the VSU Campus Police at 524-5411 and they will activate the local rescue squad. Remember, the rescue squad is for emergency medical situations only.
