Trojan Explosion Marching Band
The Home Of "The Best Band in the CIAA"
The Virginia State University Trojan Explosion Marching Band is comprised of talented instrumentalists, Essence of Troy Dancers, Satin Divas Flags, Troy Elegance Twirlers, and the Commanders of Troy Drum Majors. The marching band is the largest student organization at Virginia State University. Known as "The Best Band in the CIAA," the Trojan Explosion has performed on highly acclaimed stages up and down the East Coast. Some of the band's most notable performances are ten performances at the Honda Battle of the Bands, BET's College Hill, NBC's Today Show, the first drumline to perform at the White House, and the White House Black History Program. Our former band members have become successful in various fields, including music, education, medicine, entertainment, real estate, law, law enforcement, the military, and business.
