Virginia State University Partners With College Pads To Deliver New Off-Campus Housing Marketplace
This partnership will enhance the off-campus living experience, equipping students with the tools to find and secure housing.
Virginia State University has announced a partnership with College Pads to offer a new off-campus housing marketplace for students. College Pads is a housing platform that can be accessed through the University’s website at offcampushousing.vsu.edu to help VSU students with their off-campus housing needs.
With nearly 800 VSU students living off campus, this platform will provide essential tools to compare off-campus housing options, find potential roommates, and sublet their existing units when applicable. The site also features renter education modules to help students successfully navigate the transition to off-campus life.
"We are thrilled to partner with College Pads and offer an intuitive off-campus marketplace," said Dr. Derrick L. Peterson, Sr. Director of Residence Life and Housing. "This new resource will not only improve the University’s off-campus housing process, but it will also teach students to become more educated renters."
In addition to assisting students, the platform will help strengthen the relationships the University has with property owners and managers in the community. Property managers can list available units with professional listing services provided by College Pads to enhance quality and visibility.
In the future, VSU and College Pads will collaborate to host on-campus and virtual events for partners of the off-campus marketplace. The University looks forward to working closely with the company to continue its commitment to fostering student success on and off campus.
College Pads is the fastest-growing company in off-campus housing, partnering with over 100 institutions nationwide. To learn more about listing properties on the site, contact Taylour O'Neil at taylour@collegepads.com.
