VSU Women's LeadHERship Institute Announces National Conference For Women Leaders At HBCUs
The institute aims to encourage and shape the next generation of women leaders at HBCUs.
Virginia State University is proud to announce that its Women's LeadHERship Institute has curated a two-day national summit on Monday, June 24 and Tuesday, June 25 to refresh, applaud, and unite women leaders at Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
The conference's theme, "Women Leaders @ HBCUs Conference 2024 – Straightening Our Crowns to Cultivate Transformative Leaders: Unsung Heroines of HBCUs," will illuminate the transformative leadership and indomitable spirit of women trailblazers within HBCUs. Through collaboration, celebration, and candid dialogue, the goal is to inspire leaders of today and tomorrow to straighten their crowns and elevate the legacy of excellence and resilience inherent in the HBCU community.
The institute aims to create and nurture a world where the contributions and leadership of HBCU's unsung heroines are universally celebrated, as our journeys are integral to the tapestry of global leadership narratives. By amplifying our stories and highlighting our unwavering spirit, we hope to galvanize a generation by ensuring every aspiring woman leader steps gracefully into her power. After this transformative conference, every leader will proudly wear her crown with pride and possess an unyielding commitment to positive change.
The thoughtfully curated panels will inform guests on how to successfully navigate the HBCU leadership landscape, effectively advocate for themselves and junior leaders, strategically foster cross-functional partnerships, actively celebrate the achievements of other women leaders, and effortlessly inspire all whom these women encounter.
The women's conference will be held at the VSU Multipurpose Center from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm each day. The conference is free and open to the public. Anyone interested in attending can register at the form below.
