VSU Board Member Dennis L. Via Receives Prestigious Recognition
Via, a retired General working for Booz Allen, was named one of Savoy Magazine's 2024 Most Influential Executives in Corporate America.
Virginia State University is proud to announce that Board Member Dennis L. Via has been named one of Savoy Magazine's 2024 Most Influential Executives in Corporate America. This prestigious list recognizes CEOs, COOs, and top executives who exemplify exceptional leadership and influence in the corporate world.
Via, a 1980 graduate of VSU, retired from the U.S. Army as a 4-Star General, marking a historic achievement as the first and only commissioned Signal Corps Officer in U.S. Army history to attain this rank.
He is now an executive vice president with Booz Allen Hamilton in McLean, Virginia. In this role, Via leads firmwide corporate engagement in the Office of the CEO and is a key member of Booz Allen's Defense Sector leadership team and a fellow for Defense Futures.
Additionally, Via contributes significantly to the global defense business, helping to shape the firm's future business strategy for the defense market. His work spans across technology innovation, warfighter advancements, readiness, training, and security cooperation, driving growth and progress in these critical areas.
