VSU Receives Challenge Gift from VSU Real Estate Foundation to Support the Trojan Spirit Fund

Virginia State University (VSU) seeks financial support from the VSU community to assist students impacted by COVID-19. Many students are facing hardships as a result of the current pandemic and need additional assistance with expenses related to housing, food, transportation, and academic resources (i.e., computer, books).

The Trojan Spirit Fund provides funding to help students address the most pressing needs. The Virginia State University Real Estate Foundation has donated $25,000 to the fund and challenges the VSU community to match their contribution with $25,000 in additional gifts by June 30, 2020.

Your help is needed to meet the many needs of our students and assist them through this unprecedented time. Together, we can help provide some relief and ease the burden of those impacted by COVID-19. “Many of our students have been impacted. There are requests for assistance with food, housing, and academic resources. VSU supports students in and out of the classroom. Gifts to the Trojan Spirit Fund help us address outside of the classroom needs and provides support to our resilient students impacted by COVID-19,” said Charmica Epps, Interim Associate Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Director of Alumni Relations.
