(1) Destiny Broadnax (Marketing major) earned a full-time marketing position for after graduation at Blue Millennial in Bethesda.
(2) Destiny Hodges (Marketing major) and Lawren Patterson (Marketing major) earned paid marketing internships for next semester at Comcast Spectacor.
(3) Kara Rutland (Accounting major) earned a full-time position for after graduation at Deloitte.
(4) Anjanette Byrd (Marketing major) and Amira Sine (Marketing major) participated in a sales/marketing conference with two-hundred businesses in Richmond.
(5) Fifteen students in Career Launch participated in a Petersburg Economic Development reception with twenty businesses.
(6) Aishata Wann (Accounting major) was invited to participate in the JP Morgan Leadership Conference next month in New York.
(7) Tamairah Marshall (Accounting major) participated as a model in RVA Fashion Week show at Stony Point Fashion Park attended by four hundred persons.
(8) Adante Holliman (Marketing major) attended the Hanover Alumni Association luncheon attended by two hundred persons.
(9) Nasir Porter (Accounting major) earned a paid summer internship in Risk Management at Union Bank & Trust.
(10) Destiny Blount (Management/HR major) earned a paid internship for the summer at the Retail Merchants Association in Richmond.
(11) Catera Ruth (MISY major) was invited by the Thurgood Marshall College Fund’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship Division to participate in the Pitch Competition to be held in Durham next month.
(12) Mychala Walker (Management minor) earned an invite to participate in the Andrew Young Emerging Leadership Institute to be held in Atlanta this summer.
(13) Micah Bullard (Accounting major) earned a Hercules Scholarship for $1,500.
(14) Racheal Ampofowaa (Accounting major), Shaylan Ferguson (Accounting major), Destiny Hodges (Marketing major), Adonte Holliman (Marketing major), D’Angela Jones (Management major), Unique Lotman (Accounting major), Orane McLean (Marketing major), Saraphina Mensah (Accounting major), Jahla Mercer-Smith (Accounting major), Nasir Porter (Accounting major), Catera Ruth (MISY major), Nadia Victor (Accounting major), and Aishata Wann (Accounting major) earned paid internships for next semester in the University’s Administration and Finance Department.

(16) Manny Saunders (Management major) earned a paid HR internship for the summer at Kings Dominion where he will be responsible for managing the international staff.
(17) Jahard Cooper (Management/HR major) earned a part-time job with our friends at Shamin Hotels for the summer working the front-desk at a hotel in Hopewell.
(18) Kyla Best (Marketing major) and Marcus Jones (Management major) participated in the Down River Venture Forum with sixty businesses at the Redskins Training Camp facility in Richmond.
(19) Twenty students participated in the Marvin Allmond dedication ceremony in Singleton Hall.
(20) Thirteen students in Career Launch participated in an Appomattox River Clean-Up.
(21) Martin Short (Accounting major) joined Aaron Montgomery (Owner of Carlotz) and Carthan Currin (Director of Economic Development for Brunswick County) for a conversation in Petersburg.
(22) Fifty students participated in Owens & Minor Day and interfaced with Kayla Randall (Recruiter).
(23) Thirty students participated in Link-it-All Day and interfaced with Libby Buchanan (Recruiter).
(24) Twenty students participated in the Women 2 Women Business Summit in Singleton with a panel of College alumni.
(25) Aishata Wann (Accounting major) earned a summer internship in accounting offer from KPMG but she has decided to instead intern for Ernst & Young.
(26) Grace Ampong (Accounting major) was admitted to graduate school to earn her accountancy degree at George Mason.
(27) Kineka Berry (Marketing major and 17 grad and currently enrolled in VSU Project Management) was accepted in to the highly competitive The Martin Agency Intercollegiate Student Workshops; Kineka will represent us in The College of Business and her team will be comprised of W&M and VCU, other teams include JMU, ODU, GMU, UVA, and TECH.
(28) Jahard Cooper (Management major), Diamond Fayton (Marketing major), Marcus Jones (Management major), Amaya Moses (Management major), Tamia Reese (Marketing major), and Sydney Sears (Management major) participated in the highly selective Tom Tom Festival Intercollegiate Entrepreneurship Competition in Charlottesville and competed against institutions like W&M, VCU, UVA, Virginia Tech.
(29) Essence Bridges (Marketing minor), Samantha Hurt (Accounting major), and Ronnell McBride (Management major) were the Top Performers in Small Group Role-Play with Industry as assessed by GEICO, Riverfront Financial Investment Group, Xenetex, Wendel, Dominion, HumanKind, Hopewell City Public Schools, and Booz Allen Hamilton.
(30) Chanel Brown (Marketing major) participated in Commercial Coffee in Richmond with fifty companies.
(31) Monique Daniels (Accounting major) was the Top Performer in Small Group Role-Play with Industry as assessed by New York Life, Dominion, OpX Solutions, City of Richmond, New Jersey Department of Transportation, Shamin Hotels, and The Competitive Edge.
(32) Autumn Linder (Management major), Kia Richardson (Marketing major), Amira Sine (Marketing major), and Sadonia Sylvester (Accounting major) participated in the Virginia’s Gateway Region annual dinner with forty companies.
(33) Angelina Smith (Management major) earned a full-time position for after graduation in sales at CoStar in Richmond.
(34) Aishata Wann (Accounting major) earned a paid accounting internship for the summer at Ernst & Young in Northern Virginia.
(35) Ariel Love (Management major) earned a paid summer internship at the Virginia Department of Transportation where she will work in the Public-Private Partnership Division.
(36) Aishata Wann (Accounting major) has been selected to participate in J. P. Morgan’s Corporate & Investment Bank Women’s Conference next month in New York City.
(37) Darius Holeman (Management major), Dinah James (Management major), and Shayla Weatherhead (Marketing major) participated in the Virginia21 luncheon in Richmond with Senator Tim Kaine.
(38) Forty students participated in Union Bank & Trust Day with Juli Thibault (Recruiter).
(39) Monique Daniels (Accounting major) and Seth Mitchell (Management major) were the Top Performers in Small Group Role-Play with Industry as assessed by United Network of Organ Sharing, Metamorphosis Consulting, and Anthem.
(40) Christine Bautista (MISY major), Kyla Best (Marketing major), Jzakaala Hamilton (Marketing major), Tamia Reese (Marketing major), Khadia Richardson (Management major) and Tamarah Varner (Management major) participated in the Petersburg Chamber Annual Dinner with eighty businesses.
(41) Marcus Jones (Management major) attended Mayor Levar Stoney’s birthday party with thirty businesses.
(42) Twenty students hosted a group of fifty high school students from the region for an introduction to college.
(43) Twenty students in Business Communications hosted Randy Wilson (CEO of the HUF Center) in the classroom. A big thanks to Alex Weimer for his hospitality.
(44) Twelve students participated in a real estate workshop with Gene Holloman (Owner of PrinceKing Property Group).
(45) Bethelhem Beza (MISY major) earned a paid IT internship for the summer at the Internal Revenue Service in D.C.
(46) Aishata Wann (Accounting major) participated in the Goldman Sachs leadership conference in New York City.
(47) Tiffany Tucker (Management/HR major) was awarded Senior of the Year by the University and Mychala Walker (Management minor) was awarded Freshman of the Year by the University relative to their academic and extracurricular accomplishments.
(48) Fifteen students were inducted in to the highly selective Beta Gamma Sigma academic honor society.
(49) Darius Holeman (Management major) shadowed Mark Hickman (Lobbyist at Commonwealth Strategy Group) at the Capital in Richmond.
(50) Twenty students participated in Inroads Day with Tanaisha Brisbon (Recruiter).
(51) Destiny Blount (Management/HR major), Monique Daniels (Accounting major) and Marcus Jones (Management major) were the Top Performers in Small Group Role-Play with Industry as assessed by PBS, Union Bank & Trust, Topinka Communications, Inroads, and Wilkie Real Estate.
(52) Fifteen students participated in a book signing with Martha Dodd-Slippy (Author of To Real Estate Agents and Brokers).
(53) Seventy students participated in Gloucester Institute Day including hosting C. J. Sailor (Program Director) in the classroom. A big thanks to Venkat Mummalaneni and Aurelia Donald for their hospitality.
(54) Over one hundred students were recognized for their academic and leadership contributions at the College’s Honor’s Convocation.
(55) Eighteen students in the College’s Future Business Leaders of America Phi Beta Lambda chapter won first prize in nine Business related areas beating students from the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, George Mason University, James Madison University, etc.
(56) Destiny Smith (Accounting major) earned a paid accounts payable internship with the City of Richmond Department of Fire and Emergency Management.
(57) Amaya Moses (Management major) earned an semi-finalist invite from the prestigious Tom Tom Festival to compete in their entrepreneurship event next month in Charlottesville.
(58) Chanel Brown (Marketing major) guest taught middle school students at Clements Junior High School in Prince George.
(59) Sixty students participated in Myers and Stauffer Day including hosting Latoria Henderson (Accountant) in the classroom. A big thanks to Cheryl Mitchem and Mary Scott for their hospitality.

(62) Alex Wade (Management major) and Mychala Walker (Marketing minor) were the Top Performers in Small Group Role-Play with Industry as assessed by Withum, Smarter Interiors, UPS, Wells Fargo, and Fort Lee Credit Union.

(64) Sixty students participated in Founders Day including hosting Bianca Brodie (VP) from Bank of America.
(65) Kia Richardson (Marketing major) earned an internship for the balance of the semester at Virginia’s Gateway Region in Colonial Heights.
(66) Guy DeWeever (Marketing major) earned a paid spring internship in marketing at Richmond International Raceway.

(70) Destiny Blount (Management/HR major), Corey Vickers (Marketing major), and Alex Wade (Management Information Systems major) were the Top-Performers in Small Group Role-Play with Industry as assessed by Owens and Minor, Indispensable Marketing, HMG Data, House Flipping Pros, and Hofbauer Consulting.
(71) Diamond Fayton (Marketing major), Samantha Hurt (Accounting major), Tamia Reese (Marketing major), Manny Saunders (Management/HR major), and Destini Woods (Management/HR major) attended Cinderella Ballet guests of Morgan Stanley and participated in a networking event in Richmond.
(72) Sixty students participated in Commercial Real Estate for Women Day including hosting five companies in the classroom. A big thanks to Don Amaram for his hospitality!
(73) Twenty students hosted Computer Doctor of Richmond in the classroom. A big thanks to Aurelia Donald for her hospitality.
(74) Five students from the College’s Phi Beta Lambda Chapter participated in a Future Business Leaders of America mentoring event at Matoaca High School.
(75) Thirty students participated in The Office of Congressman McEachin Day.
(76) Fifty students participated in Reginald F. Lewis Day including a panel conversation with Mrs. Loida Lewis and book signing.
(77) Diamond Walker (Accounting major) earned an accounting position for after graduation at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.
(78) Guy DeWeever (Marketing major), Tiara Jasey (Management major), and Corey Vickers (Marketing major) were invited to participate in the Moguls in the Making conference in Detroit to be held next month.
(79) Marcus Jones (Management major) and Amaya Moses (Management major) submitted business ideas for consideration to the highly competitive intercollegiate Tom Tom Festival.
(80) Forty students in Organization and Policy hosted Jason Kamras (Superintendent of Richmond Public Schools) in the classroom. A big thanks to Patrice Perry-Rivers for her hospitality.
(81) Ninety students participated in Wells Fargo Day.

(84) Forty students participated in RVA Career Expo Day including loading their resume with Curt Hammitt (Owner of Propel).

(91) Osak Okunbor (Accounting major and 18 grad) earned a full-time staff accountant position with Allmond & Company in Maryland.
(92) Fifty students participated in Owens and Minor Day including hosting DeAsia Washington (Recruiter) in the classroom. A big thanks to Art Wharton and Alex Weimer for their hospitality!
(93) Forty students participated in Hitting Cancer Below the Belt Day including signing up for a Cancer Awareness Run.
(94) Thirty students participated in Mullen Lowe Day including in the classroom. A big thanks to Yun Lee for her hospitality!
(95) Twenty-five students participated in Waffle House Day.
(96) Sixty students participated in Focus and Fabulous Day including celebrating Valentine’s Day in the photo-booth.
(97) Twelve students in the American Marketing Association (AMA) hosted Samantha Platania (Marketing Manager at Meadows Urquhart Acree & Cook).
(98) Shamaad Jackson (Marketing major) and Manny Saunders (Management major) participated in the Industry Council(s) meeting attended by forty businesses.
(99) Sydney Yao (Marketing minor) earned a full-time Manager-in-Training position for after graduation in May at Cintas in Landover, Maryland.

(103) Kia Richardson (Marketing major) earned an internship for the semester as a Legislative Assistant to Delegate Jeff Bourne for the 2019 General Assembly session.
(104) Jahwon Taylor (MISY major and December 18 grad) earned a full-time position as a Business Development Associate for a software start-up called Network For Good.

(106) Charly Mitchell (Marketing major) accepted a paid marketing internship with Liberty Tax Services; also of note, Charly is participating in the Winter Sales Academy with BSE Sales Academy that works with the Brooklyn Nets!
