(1) Mohamed Keita (Accounting major) earned a full-time position as a consultant at Deloitte in Arlington for after graduation in May.
(2) Guy DeWeever (Marketing major) and Jahwon Taylor (MISY major) participated in a networking event with scores of professionals at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.
(3) Destiny Hodges (Marketing major) shadowed Dave Saunders (CEO) of Madison + Main in Richmond.
(4) Destini Woods (Management/HR major) shadowed Dennis Bickmeier (CEO) of Richmond International Raceway in Richmond.
(5) Diamond Fayton (Marketing major) and Madison Muldrow (Marketing major) participated in the Richmond Advertising Club networking session with twenty businesses in Richmond.
(6) Shanice Allonce’s internship with Def Jam Records materialized in a post-graduate internship/job offer for after May.
(7) Manny Saunders (Management major) represented the College of Business and Virginia State University at the Dominion Power the Future intercollegiate competition at Virginia Commonwealth University last weekend; a 38 hour competition, Manny was part of a team of four in the event with universities including e.g. VCU, VA Tech, Penn State, etc.

(10) Three students in Small Business Entrepreneurship hosted Shirley Crawford (Executive Director of the Women’s Entrepreneurship Center in Richmond) in the classroom. A big thanks to Patrice Perry-Rivers for her hospitality.
(11) Fifteen students in the American Marketing Association along with fifteen students in Investments hosted Sam Hayes (Owner of Stratageum) in the classroom. A big thanks to Steve Holeman for his hospitality.
(12) Manny Saunders (Management major) participated in the Young Non-Profit Network’s networking event with forty non-profits in Richmond.
(13) Seventy students participated in U.S. Forestry Day including hosting Sylvia Staples (Regional Recruiter) in Principles of Marketing. A big thanks to Yun Lee for her hospitality.
(14) Seven students in Introduction to Computer Networks hosted Diamond Simpson (Associate Software Developer) at SITA in the classroom. A big thanks to Soma Akkaledevi for his hospitality.
(15) Nasir Porter (Accounting major) was the Top Performer in Small Group Role-Play with Industry as assessed by Union Bank & Trust, Advia Naturals, Fort Lee Federal Credit Union, Virginia Community Capital, and Crystal Clear Financial Solutions.
(16) Essence Bridges (Marketing minor), Jahard Cooper (Management/HR major), Tyeshaun Harris (Management major), and Angela Scott (Management major) participated in the Career Connection conference in New York.
(17) Chanel Brown (Marketing major), Charly Mitchell (Marketing major), Seth Mitchell (Management major), Liz Mosely (Marketing minor), Sadonia Sylvester (Accounting major), Rebekah Taylor (Management major), and Nadia Victor (Accounting major) represented the College of Business on the College’s Homecoming Float at the parade in Petersburg.
(18) Thirty-two students participated in a roundtable conversation in Singleton with alums representing the FDIC, Allmond & Company, Department of Health, etc.
(19) Twenty students in Business Communications participated in a tree planting at Virginia State University. A big thanks to Alex Weimer for his leadership.
(20) Shaylan Ferguson (Accounting major) participated in a luncheon at the Commonwealth Hotel at the Capitol; said luncheon regarded a conversation with economists pertinent to business trends and the Governor's recent proposals.
(21) Fifteen students in the Future Business Leaders of America PBL Chapter hosted an entrepreneurship panel conversation including Pam Allen (Owner of Accel Talent and Development), JB Bryan (Owner of JB Bryan), Jenee Murphy (Owner of Jenee Murphy Consulting), and Mike Short (Owner of Pro).
(22) Kedar Ra El (Management major) participated in a Supplier Diversity Entrepreneurship networking event with thirty businesses at the University of Richmond.
(23) Ten students participated in interviews for a paid internship for the spring semester with Liberty Tax.
(24) Corey Vickers (Marketing major) started his business by flipping his first house for sale located in the City of Petersburg.
(25) Teciara Gambrell (Accounting major) was the Top Performer in Small Group Role-Play with Industry as assessed by Timmons Group, Southside Regional Medical Center, The Coleman Institute, Winter HR Consulting, Wildfire, The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, City of Richmond, Thomson Reuters, Dominion, KPMG, Liz Bryant, and Meadows Urquhart Acree & Cook.

(27) Ten students hosted Ryan Bolais (Vice President) of Thomson Reuters for a conversation regarding marketability.
(28) Monique Daniels (Accounting major) earned a paid internship in accounting from Dominion for the summer; now she has to decide between that offer and an offer from Pricewaterhousecoopers.
(29) Adante Holliman (Marketing major), Sultan Kenes (Management major), Tiffany Tucker (Management/HR major), and Montrell Wynn (Marketing major) spent part of the week in Chicago at a Beta Gamma Sigma conference.
(30) Sadonia Sylvester (Accounting major) earned a full-time position for after graduation at PricewaterhouseCoopers; now Sadonia has to choose between that offer and a KPMG offer.
(31) Christine Bautista (MISY major) and Amira Sine (Management major) participated in Project Shadow at Pfizer in Richmond.

(52) Thirty marketing majors launched a Google Analytics project in collaboration with the College’s Center for Entrepreneurship to provide free services to the following companies; Binary Formations, Focus and Fabulous, Urban Views Weekly, SMN Squared, Choza, Brison, Focal Path Coaching, Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, Traveling Teacher, Girls for a Change, Plush Slippers, Hopewell Downtown Partnership, Re-Runner, Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce, K. Moss & Associates, and Hofbauer Consulting.
(53) Tamairah Marshall (Accounting major) earned a paid summer internship in finance at Johnson & Johnson in California.
(54) Nadia Victor (Accounting major) earned a paid summer internship in finance at Prudential in New York; Nadia also earned a visit to Charlotte next month to participate in a Wells Fargo conference.
(55) D’Anjela Jones (Management major), Jujuan Peel (Management major), Tamia Reese (Management major), Destiny Smith (Accounting major), and Aishata Wann (Accounting major) participated in the Richmond Folk Festival with scores of businesses as VIP guests of Venture Richmond.

(114) Kire’ Worley (Accounting major) won the National African-American Insurance Association’s (NAAIA) JL Tillman Scholarship; this is the second time a VSU student won the scholarship after Monet Graves (Marketing major and 17 grad) won it two years ago.
