Mission
The mission of the dual enrollment at Virginia State University is to partner with secondary school divisions to enhance high school students’ academic and career outcomes. We focus on fostering students’ social and emotional development, cultivating globally sustainable leadership skills, expanding their awareness of higher education and career pathways, and equipping them with the knowledge, tools, and disposition needed to thrive in the future workforce.
Our students
- capitalize on the flexibility of online courses, enabling them to balance college courses with their high school commitments;
- engage in accelerated, solutions-oriented project-based learning experiences, developing their critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
- earn career-focused college course credits and credentials, while saving time and money;
- gain insight into the total college experience, easing their matriculation to a degree seeking student; and
