We are excited that you are considering one of our Living and Learning Communities. We hope that you find the details about our communities helpful. There are no additional costs outside of the standard room and board cost associated with living on campus.

What is a Living and Learning Community?

Living and Learning Communities consists of intentional efforts to connect assembled students to the topic of the community. This involves taking courses together, field trips, and is often associated with a dedicated cadre of faculty and staff. Classroom space is set aside within the living community for intentional learning opportunities.

How do you join a Living and Learning Community?

Via your housing application in MyHousing you simply select the Living and Learning Community you want to reside and someone will be in touch about the full application process.

The Diversity/Inclusion/Belonging Living and Learning Community, referred to as “Trojan DEEP” Diversity Education Enrichment Program, houses first year students and aims to empower students to deepen their understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures, identities, and lived experiences. Through intentional programming, dialogue, and engagement. Trojan DEEP provides opportunities for students to enhance their knowledge, develop empathy, and cultivate lifelong skills for navigating and advocating within diverse and evolving social landscapes. These students reside in Seward Hall.  This community provides students with intentional activities, both on and off campus that will support their overall development and guide student success. This is also a LGBTQIA+ inclusive housing.
