Program Costs
The cost to students, in addition to university tuition, include program expenses, which are in addition to tuition and fees charged by the university. Textbooks for your classes are available from the VSU Bookstore or other sources. The costs of textbooks can vary immensely dependent on the course type and number of courses; therefore, an estimated cost is used. It is very difficult to estimate the cost of textbooks and other course materials as the amount can vary greatly.
Expenses associated with the DPD professional program, in addition to tuition, will include:
-
Textbooks (estimated at $200-$400/semester in the DPD) - $800.00-$1600.00
-
Lab coats (1) - $50.00
-
Non-slip shoes - $75.00
-
Associate membership in the Academy ($58.00 per year)
-
Graduation application fee - $60.00 (BS and certificate students)
Financial aid is available to eligible students. Please see the VSU Department of Financial Aid for more details. For additional scholarship opportunities, students are encouraged to apply to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation Scholarship and their local/state dietetic organizations.
