Admission Requirements 

Admissions to the MBA program are facilitated through the Graduate Office in collaboration with the RFL College of Business, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation based on both academic credentials and professional experiences. 

Unconditional Admission: Applicants holding a bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited institution, boasting a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0, are welcomed into the program without prerequisites. 

Conditional Admission: Prospective students presenting a GPA between 2.5 and 3.0 from an accredited university may qualify for admission contingent upon the assessment of relevant work experience and a personal interview with our program staff. 

Program Requirements 

The MBA curriculum at Virginia State University is meticulously crafted to provide a robust foundation in business administration principles, augmented by core coursework in critical areas such as accounting, management, marketing, entrepreneurship, and information technology. To graduate, students must complete 36 credit hours as detailed below:

Capstone Course (3 Credit Hours): 

MGMT 690: Strategic Planning & Implementation (3) 

Restricted Electives (15 Credit Hours):
