Bachelor of Music with a Concentration in Music Education
The Bachelor of Music Degree with a Concentration in Music Education prepares for careers as music educators. The curriculum includes the core music component, performance activities including ensemble participation and applied study leading to a senior recital, music education courses and practicum experiences, and professional education courses. Students who complete the curriculum and state requirements earn licensure to teach music in the Commonwealth of Virginia with one of two available endorsements: Instrumental preK–12 and Vocal/Choral preK–12.
