Endorsement Areas (Licensure)
The Department of Teaching and Learning offers Endorsement for teacher preparation programs in the following areas that lead to licensure:
- Elementary Education PreK-6 - CURRICULUM
- Special Education - CURRICULUM
- Middle School - CURRICULUMS (English, History/Social Science, Math, and Science)
Secondary Education Minor
In the state of Virginia one must major in the content areas listed below and minor in Secondary Education if they wish to become licensed.
- Agriculture 6-12 - CURRICULUM
- Algebra (Add-on program) - CURRICULUM
- Biology 6-12 - CURRICULUM
- Chemistry 6-12 - CURRICULUM
- Driver Education (Add-on program)
- English 6-12 - CURRICULUM
- Family and Consumer Sciences 6-12 - CURRICULUM
- Health and Physical Education PreK-12 - CURRICULUM
- History and Social Sciences 6-12 - CURRICULUM
