Areas Of Study

The Department of Teaching and Learning offers majors that lead to licensure in the state of Virginia. One must major in the content areas listed below and minor in Secondary Education if they wish to become licensed. The Department of Teaching & Learning also offers non-endorsement programs that do not lead to licensure.

Candidates who desire to teach at the scondary level should major in the available endorsement areas and declare Seconady Education as a minor.
