SEA Student Education Association

Purpose

We want to grow the skills of our members so that they are well prepared for the workforce.

3M Male Teacher Molding Minds

Purpose
The focus of Male Teachers Molding Minds is to expose male candidates in Virginia State University’s Professional Education Programs to the positive aspects of teaching and mentoring.

Vision
The vision of the 3M Society (Male Teachers Molding Minds) is to provide an academic and social support system wherein our young men can learn and gain a more comprehensive understanding of their importance to the development of families, schools, and the community as a whole. Creating such an atmosphere will encourage our young men to become strong teachers and leaders that develop classroom learning environments where all students can excel and prosper.

Objectives

• The young men will gain knowledge of the requirements for becoming a professional educator.
• The young men will develop the skills necessary to become leaders within their communities.
• The young men will learn study skills which will assist in improving their current academic status.
• The young men will gain real world experience with students through Field Experience and mentoring.

3L Society - Leading Ladies to Leadership

Purpose
The focus of Leading Ladies to Leadership is to expose female candidates in Virginia State
University’s Professional Education Programs to the positive aspects of mentoring and leadership.

The vision of the 3L’s Society (Leading Ladies to Leadership) is to provide an academic and social support system where our young ladies can learn to be women and gain a more comprehensive understanding of their importance to the development of families, schools, and the community as a whole. Creating such an atmosphere will encourage our young women to become strong teachers and educational leaders that develop positive academic environments where students can excel and prosper.
