Society of Women Engineers (SWE)

Virginia State University Student Chapter
swe-photo.jpg The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is a not-for-profit educational and service organization that empowers women to succeed and advance in the field of engineering and to be recognized for their life-changing contributions as engineers and leaders. SWE is the driving force that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career for women through an exciting array of training and development programs, networking opportunities, scholarships, and outreach and advocacy activities.

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) chapter at The Virginia State University has excelled in multiple ways on and off campus. Most of our members not only hold other leadership roles in organizations on campus, we also have attended numerous competitions from the Deloitte HBCU Business Technology Case Competition to the Honda Campus All-Star Competition. With the impressive GPA average of 3.5 of our members, we excel in all that we do.
